The British Council Film Collection Competition

¿Sois cinéfilos? Yo, sí. He trabajado como extra, he traducido películas y he hecho algún que otro cortometraje con amigos. ¡Mucha suerte!

Do you love cinema? I do! I have worked as a movie extra, I have translated films and I have made some shortfilms with friends. So, here is the info in case you want to enter this British Council shortfilm competition. You can also see and download their documentaries. Remember the deadline is Friday 29 August! Let us know if you enter the contest! Good luck!

In the 1940’s, the British Council made short documentary films to tell a story about Britain. Now, you can make a short film and enter their international filmmaking competition. Entries will be showcased on the British Council’s website and vie for a top-notch series of money-can’t-buy prizes, ranging from a guided tour of Pinewood Studios, to a visit for your whole class to the Harry Potter Experience, Gala Tickets for the London Film Festival and an animation workshop from Aardman. A jury of esteemed film and TV personalities including Oscar-winning filmmaker Kevin MacDonald, Bend It Like Beckham director Gurinder Chadha, and presenters Claudia Winkleman and Edith Bowman will judge your films to find a series of winners. How to submit your film? Click here. These are the terms and conditions. See the resources to help you make your film.
